After destalking and minimal crushing of the berries, they were left to cold soak for 48 hours. Fermentation with selected Rhône yeast strains was temperature-controlled at 22–26°C, with twice-daily pump-overs to ensure optimal extraction. The wine was then barrel-matured for 18 months in 30% new French oak barrels, with only the finest barrels selected for the final blend.
A full-bodied, elegantly structured red revealing layers of ripe red berries, warm cloves, and a touch of black pepper. The palate is rich and concentrated, supported by firm, refined tannins and a long, savoury finish — a Syrah that speaks of both power and poise.
