We start the morning with a welcome drink whilst you decide which pottery clay piece (or two, if you are adventurous!) you want to glaze with your creative flair – local artist, Madeleine Murry from Muddylane Pottery Studio in Napier will guide you through the process of decorating your piece and show you the ancient technique of Raku… in other words, fire your piece right in front of you with her various techniques to add texture.
Lunch Time! Chef Bridget Bartleman (Kolossal Hospitality) spoils us with her Earth inspired Harvest Table whilst Strandveld Vineyards pairs specially selected wines from the region to compliment terrior and locally sourced produce.
Amongst the wines you will enjoy on the day, you will have the opportunity to get acquainted with Strandveld Pofadderbos Sauvignon Blanc recently bagging back-to-back Top 10 Sauvignon Blanc in the country and bringing Conrad Vlok the trophy home for Winemaker of the Year with the prestigious Diners Club awards.
After Lunch Chef Bridget demonstrate how to Cook with Buchu – one of Africa’s finest fynbos! The secret is out of the bag – your dessert is Buchu inspired too! Enjoy it with your choice of a selection of fine Tea or Coffee.
End the day off with permanent bragging rights when you collect your cooled off, magnificent Art Piece from Madeleine.
