Strandveld Vineyards has claimed a cool climate victory at the 2019 Shiraz SA Challenge, securing its place in the coveted Top12 with the First Sighting Shiraz 2017.
The First Sighting Shiraz is a medium-bodied wine with spicy pepper and savoury aromas, layered with vibrant red berry fruit flavours. Concentrated with complex layers and a fine structure formed by cool climate tannins, it has a long finish showing well integrated oak and fine tannins.
Shaped by ever present sea winds and unique gravel soils, this wine is without doubt an elegant expression of the Elim Wine Ward terroir.
