The Restaurant Rescue Project (#RestaurantRescueProject) is an independent, industry-driven initiative to preserve the gastronomic culture of Cape Town by saving the restaurant sector, which has been crippled by the pandemic and the measures taken to curb its spread.

The recent announcement of a curfew was yet another blow to the once-thriving industry, adding to its mounting woes: the loss of revenue as a result of four months’ lockdown closure and the ban on wine and alcohol sales. We must do what we can to save the Cape’s most iconic and best-loved restaurants.

We feel this is a fantastic initiative and we have happily teamed up with the fabulous La Mouette restaurant in Sea Point.

We have put together 200 cases of a superb selection of 6 wines from our limited Strandveld Vineyards range. The selection includes two bottles of Strandveld Pofadderbos Sauvignon Blanc, and a bottle each of the Strandveld Anders Sparrman Pinot Noir, Strandveld Syrah, Strandveld Adamastor and Strandveld The Navigator. Terms and Conditions of Voucher

  1. Voucher is valid for a period of 2 years from the date of purchase.
  2. Vouchers must be redeemed in full on a single occasion.
  3. Multiple vouchers may be used on a single occasion for an accumulative total.
  4. Any unused portion of the voucher is not redeemable for cash or credit.
  5. To redeem the value of the voucher, please present the physical voucher to the manager on duty upon arrival at the restaurant.
  6. Lost or stolen gift vouchers cannot be replaced, canceled, or refunded.
  7. We do not offer any refunds for vouchers ordered incorrectly, any unwanted gifts, or if you change your mind.
  8. All vouchers are issued in South African Rands (ZAR).
  9. La Mouette Restaurant and Strandveld Vineyards do not take responsibility for any lost or misplaced vouchers.
  10. The voucher purchased is an agreement between the purchaser and La Mouette Restaurant. Strandveld Vineyards cannot be held liable if the restaurant cannot uphold their agreement.
  11. Any wine or alcohol will only be made available after lifting of the ban on alcohol and in accordance with government regulations.
  12. The case of Strandveld Vineyards wine can be collected when visiting the restaurant.
  13. No wine or alcohol will be released to a minor under the legal drinking age.
