The North Cottage houses a double bed whilst the South Cottage contains two single beds. Extra mattresses may be requested for children.
Both units feature:
- An indoor fireplace/ braai, firelighters and three crates of firewood
- A fridge/ freezer, 2 plate stove, microwave, toaster, kettle, crockery, glassware and cutlery
- Bedding, soap and towels
- Stunning views of the magnificent gardens and the hills beyond
Pets can unfortunately not be catered for and there is no smoking allowed in the cottages
Tucked away off the beaten track Strandveld is situated between Bredasdorp, Elim and Cape Agulhas. The nearest amenities are situated in Bredasdorp 34km away or Struisbaai 35 km away. Black Oystercatcher, 5 km away has a restaurant which is open for lunch.
Things to do in the area:
The Strandveld is a great place for bird watching and to try and spot as many of the over 200 species recorded in the Agulhas Plain. Horse riding, hiking, deep sea fishing, shark cage diving and whale watching are all additional activities that can be enjoyed in the surrounding area alongside visiting the southernmost tip of Africa or brushing up on your history at the local museums when you aren’t too busy wine tasting.
